Cool My newest project

Here is a picture of an Oak tray that I am making. All that is left to do is laquer (sp?) it and maybe line the edges with shells that I found at the beach. Not sure about that part yet, but we'll see.

Thanks everyone, what I did was to tape transparent paper to regular paper so I could run it through the printer so the transparent paper would not get all crinkled up during printing.
Then I carefully removed them and even more carefully cut them out and placed them on the tray.
See ... cheating, huh? lol

And I think I will try and edge it with Bamboo instead of the shells. The more I think about the shells the less I like the idea.

I'll see what I can come up with for the rest of the project.

I like the bamboo better too. Or, leather. It would give it the West Indies feel.

Graeh,

You are very creative. If I ever tried anything like that.... well..... it wouldn't turn out pretty to say the least. Love your work!

Regina

PS... not that it matters, but I kind of like the idea of bamboo around the edges also... just my two cents... not that it matters....LOL :icon_lol:

That's too funny. Outlaw, you and I must have been posting at the same time and came up with favoring the bamboo better..... Maybe it's like a vote to see if Graeh will finish with the shells or the bamboo..... LOL... then again, the leather idea is kind of nice also.
