Going Insane Here!!!
LOL, well, only because of the cats, and besides the dog... Lucky (the dog), besides him barking all the time, and laying on or around me while I sleep, the cats, Squirt and Sprite have been real pests, and are only getting worse! All of the other cats that we have had have learned to stay off the top of counters and tables. These two though, they haven't learned yet! Add to that, Squirt, for the first time, stole fresh meat off the counter recently... Sprite has never taken any meat off the counter though... The meat that he took I was going to use to cook dinner later that night... I still cooked with other meat... But the thing is, that was the first meal that I have cooked here for my mother, her roomate, and I...
These two little rascals like to get into everything!!! LOL Well, that is how Squirt got his name! And just to add, just recently, when I went to go let Sprite back in the house (it was late and way past my bedtime), I found her walking around on the roof! She wouldn't come down either, so I had to go get the ladder for her! (thankfully, I didn't have to climb up on the roof and chase her around, she came down on her own...). On a more happier note, I think I might be getting somewhere with Noel! It rained here recently, during the day (finally instead of at night), and I took Noel and Casey out to their apple tree. Casey spread her wings and started trying to get as wet as possible, and started preening. There wasn't enough downpour for either to get the slightest bit of soaking wet... However, the rain did start to pour down quicker, with a bit more rain, and Noel ended up fluffing, spreading her wings, and jumping around while rubbing her body all over the leaves and branches! She tried to get much wetter, however, still, not enough rain... This was a first for her for ANY type of bath I've given her, and that I've had her for over 2 years!!! It was quite a special moment! And having to do with foods, if I am lucky, I might have gotten her to take food from my hands... She took two pieces of treats, the balls of seed, from my hand... And after that, she took a peanut (in the shell), from my hand, without having to put it down and walking off! This might be a plus for me! She was very nervous and VERY unsure as to whether or not to take it from my fingers, but she did! The second treat that I gave her, she did pick it up, and then drop it (she usually will only pick things up from my fingers/hands, and either immediately drop it, or throw it, so I usually have to set the treat item down for her to actually eat it), though after that, she finally took it, and ate it... She has taken things from my fingers in the past, and eaten them without throwing/dropping them, however, it was EXTREMELY rare, and never did it twice in a day! I do hope to have more good results with Noel! If I can get Noel to take food from my hands, then I may be able to create a better bond with her! I really wish to form a better bond with her as it seems like I ignore her for most of the day because she doesn't like very much handling... And it makes me feel bad. I wish to give her more attention and lots of love, but she just wont accept it yet... However, when I do handle her, it seems like she doesn't mind being with me for a bit longer period of time... I'm saying that she'll let me handle her, or have her with me for a few more minutes than normal before she starts complaining to go back to her place. Just wishing and hoping here... Later all! M & Fids

Thanks! :)
Today, Noel did take another peanut from my hand. She more or less greedily took it, once she decided she wanted to take it from my hands, but its improvement! I later gave her another one, a smaller piece however, and she walked off. I told her "Noel, I have something for you. Come on. It's a peanut!" and after saying the last part, she came and took it, not greedily though! I'll have to work with her with taking things from my hands, and hopefully, sometime soon, I'll be able to have her away from her area, and be able to give her food! That's what I'm hoping!
