I'm a newbie from New Brunswick, Canada

Hello; I'm a newbie to the Bird Board
My name is Gail Scovil, I live in New Brunswick, Canada
I have 5 full sized parrots:
Indy and Ollie (pets/breeding Red Sided Eclectus)
Gabby and Rainbow (pets - bonded Double Yellow Headed Amazons)
Maxi (pet female? Congo African Grey)
I have owned parrots for 10 years, my pet pair of eclectus have produced 28 babies in the past 5 years. It was never my intention to be a bird breeder, but that's how it turned out. I have babies all over Eastern Canada
Most of the babies new owners keep in touch, which I really appreciate.

I also have 2 Standard Smooth Haired Dachshunds "Princess" & "Duchess:
2 cats Birman named "Duke" Himalayan named "Angel"
an 86 gallon fresh water aquarium & a 77 gal salt water reef tank.
I am a widow with no human children - just my fids and animals.

Hi Gail:

I have 10 parrots and one is an Eclectus hybrid (Grand/RS). I was curious about your Ekkies. Do they allow you to co-parent with them and are they still pets as well? I know that many Eclectus parrots will remain pets even when set up as breeding pairs.

Welcome! Pull up a perch, and help yourself to some suet.

And let me say thanks as an American. The way the people of New Brunswick spontaneously helped and gave when all trans-atlantic air traffic was diverted post 9/11 was just incredible, and is still very much appreciated.
