looky what I rescued today!!!

Cute little guy huh? Just don't try to pet him!!! lol It seems he got himself stuck in the dumpster. He may have been hurt too but was able to climb out on his own after I put a 2 x 4 in there.

Cute lil face........and look at that set of claws on him.

He is lucky you came along with the 2x4

My neighbor feeds the 'coons and it drives me crazy cuz they are always around here. She feeds them right out of her hand. I think she is nuts.

He's like, "A little help here?" "Come on. I've been patient, but I don't have all day." "Well, I guess I do have all day."

I love those pictures!

I think it is awesome that you rescued that trapped raccoon. My mom used to feed a pack of wild raccoons back when I was in high school. They lived in the forest behind our house, and they used to rummage through our trash. Eventually mom decided to just try to feed them instead of them ransacking our trash each night. My mom started leaving scraps of food in the bowls at night on our back deck. My stepfather installed a flood light on the deck, and it wasn’t before long that we were able to see their antics at night. The flood light would come on when they braved coming onto the back deck, and we were able to watch them eat through the sliding glass door. They eventually got used to us watching them through the glass. Mom eventually got to the point of walking within a couple of feet of them eating. They were so neat, because you could actually “see” their personalities. We eventually moved from that house, so we weren’t able to spend more time trying to domesticate the local raccoon population. But, I really liked those ‘coons and your pictures reminded me of that special time in my life when mom was still alive. Thank you.

Good pics of the little garbage picker!...

Hopefully it's OK...
and just maybe it's learned a valuable lesson about the possibilities of getting itself caught in those bins.

He is so cute. I love the mask on the raccoons. Oh yes, and those little feet and hands are priceless. Your camera sure does take some great pictures, or maybe it's not the camera and it's just the professional picture taker. Thanks for sharing.
