New job!

Yup - no more full-time library work for Callisto!

The new job: $1.00 per hour CUT in pay (sucks), but it is a full-time reporter position with a newspaper. I'd be doing the Education beat as well as Features and Photography.

The best part: I primarily get to work from home.

My Fiance just got a new job that is giving her a $12k raise in salary (she is an accountant)- so that added security in additon with my loathing of my job at the Library made this decision pretty easy.

Working from home is going to kick ass. I'll have more time to work out and keep training to become a Police Officer (the *other* dream job outside reporting), I'll be able to house search a lot easier, and help my Fiance with the wedding plans a lot more. Plus MORE TIME WITH LOLA!

A drawback would be I may have to quit my band, but it seems like I'll be able to pull it off (I'd be working a few nights that we may have practice/shows).

Congratulations. Good luck becoming a police officer. I know I'd never trust myself with a gun.

I've been practicing my firearms skills with my Dad lately, so I am a pretty good shot up to 30 meters, after that I am still pretty terrible - but that is what the Police Academy is for!

as for the band, we are already pretty flexible with sheduling - I just dont know if I want to keep doing it.. it takes a lot of money and time, but it is very fun :icon_smil

we set a date and booked our reception site! It is the place we both liked the most, and we were able to get it on our current anniversary!
