Talking What a Blessing!

You won't believe this. My DH and I were looking at something in Wal Mart today and talking about nests for the doves when this man behind us asked us what kind of birds we were putting to nest. We told him what kind and he said that he manages a mobile home park and one of his tennants had moved out leaving 3 or 4 rabbit cages (which is what I have my doves in!) behind. He went on to say that he was hoping to just give them to someone instead of throwing them out as they were in good shape. He also said that a couple of these are the kind where you can put a divider in and make 2 out of them. You don't know what a blessing this is to me as I was just thinking today about what I was going to put my baby dove in when it's time to take him away from his parents. Plus, I had already planned on not only giving my daughter's boyfriend the other baby, but I was going to clean up the cage that the family is in now and just give him a whole set up for the dove. All without asking for anything in return. I didn't and still don't want anything.

I just know that the Good Lord sent this man to me to give me this blessing, even though I had never asked for it, expected it, nor did it even cross my mind. To me, I was just making a young man happy. That's all. But God always knows what's in our hearts. I'm so excited about these cages. Now, if only my English Budgies will help to fill some of them! LOL (Yes, I know I'd have to modify them so they couldn't escape -- )

Debra:

That's wonderful. Please be sure, however, that the wire is safe for birds. Rabbits don't require zinc free wire and usually their cages are made of galvanized wire. Zinc is what galvanizes wire.
