Oh How I LOVE Getting Money In The Mail!

I got the mail this afternoon to find a letter from school. Inside was a check for $1,422.15! I wasn't expecting this and it's a lot, especially since my tuition is only about $2,500 a year! Now what to do with my new big check..... :)

Nice! Wait till you graduate...then you'll find heaps of mail from the alumni association asking for donations. As if we haven't given the school ENOUGH money! haha!

Put it into savings till you figure out what new bird you want. You will collect interest and not have to worry about affording a new bird and all the stuff you will need

I think I might do that. It's a refund for my financial aid since it took a long time for my loan to go through, so I was paying for it on my own (so I will have to pay for it eventually. lol). I think that was just my refund for this semester. If I pay for school next semester, I may get another check.

Yes I definitely say SAVE IT! Coming from someone who is broke as a joke from student loans, and in this economy, SAVE IT!!! I blew a refund check one semester, wont do that again.

SAVE IT!!! I wish I would have saved every little bit of money I ever got when I was younger and now depending on what month it is I could use some extra money in a savings account!!! My life now revolves around if it is not a needed item, we are not buying it!

Same here. It's way easier to spend than to save.

My friend Laura has that. And it is beautful. Many of them land on your hand for seeds and you can hold the little babies :)

Advice from a present day grandmother, these are the words my late Great-Grandmother used to say when we received Birthday Gelt, or Chanukah Gelt ." Rewki, you save that money for a rainy day, when it is gone, that is it !!Hide it well where you can not touch it." In Yiddish it always sounded better to my ears. You can put it in account for a certain date and purpose and keep adding to it, as hard as it sounds the $$$$ will eventually grow. Call it for example: My Future Graduation Vacation Fund. Just a suggestion, because once it is spent it does not come back.
