At least 2 times a month I take down my shower heads and soak them in vinegar.

I had heard that they did hold bacteria and because I shower the fids I started doing this.

I also on a weekly basis spray vinegar up the shower heads. I do not know if this helps, but it cannot hurt.

Oh geeeese - no, nothing is safe apparently. Perhaps I will start cleaning the shower head. It seems easy enough.

i heard that the bacteria that builds up is not harmful for people under normal circumstances... let's face it, i'd be dead by now if it was the case

o.0 says right there in the article that it's not a cause for worry except in people with compromised immune systems or delicate situations.

I do not breathe when having water thrown down into my face, personally. ^^;

Well i'm just sprinting towards the finish line to get cancer I guess! I shower usually 2-3 times a day, drink city water (filtered through my pur), drink diet soda, use a cell phone, sit in front of an old CRT computer monitor, worked in smoky night clubs for a couple years (even though I have never smoked a day in my life), eat chargrilled food, use a microwave, breathe....
