Talk about a turn of events!!!!

No this has nothing to do with Chewy - sorry!

My boyfriend came home today all excited, said he heard an awesome program on NPR. I, of course, asked what it was about and he said "Do you know who Dr. Pepperberg is?" Wait what? He then proceeds to tell me how they had interviewed her (one of the many Im sure) and he heard all about Alex and what her research involved and how smart African Greys are. Then he proceeds to tell me he spent the better part of the day researching and reading up on AG's and watching youtube videos about their noise level and watching their bahvior. Well, the fact that he listened to a Dr. Pepperberg interview was one thing - now hearing him talk all about AG's and be so darned excited about it - you can imagine my face --->

So now he's saying "I want to adopt a bird that needs re-homing. I want to help an AG find a forever home" WHOA WHOA WHOAAAA eager beaver lets take a step BACK here!! After a long discussion I told him he has a month to really think about this. If he's still hyped about an AG after a month, then we'll talk again. I still am in shock - is my bf becoming a bird guy?!

Oooo I dunno about getting a grey! Dont get me wrong grey owners, I love all birds and you all know that - but I dont know if Im prepared just yet for a "big bird"!! Thats why I told my bf to give it a month. Gives him time to do all his homework and really think this through and it gives me time to do the same!!
