Wow this is bringing me back to those Montreal storms , which were much worse. So that is what you do? Film your neighbours huh? That was only a little oopsy. I actually expected the garbage to be completely covered or chopped and blown awat from that "MIGHTY snowplough" Great film Gayla, winter has begun here as well today, weather wise. IT IS RAINING !! see thread in Ringneck section of how birds cope with Israeli winter!!! LOL. Take care my friend, stay warm!! Allo Franciscus a Quebec, do you remember the winters between 1974 and 1976? When we were snowed in for days on end and Montreal was crippled completely for three days at a time, or the flood of July 1989 I think it was when Decaries Expressway and Metropolitan Expressway (rte 40) had people jumping of the overpass and swimming?

Heh. My cousin grew up living in FL and never really got to experience snow. As a kid he'd always be jealous of my family because we'd take pictures of the blizzards NJ would get every blue moon. He just spent a year living with my cousin in Steamboat Springs working at one of the local ski resorts. Just recently, he decide to move to Austin, TX claiming he "couldn't take one more day of snow". Looks like CO knows how to deliver! :D

Right now it is really raining here in the Houston area and we are expected to have some flooding! When it snows here, which is not very often, it completely paralyzes the city.

I hope it snows here before we move to Florida. Then it will be 3 years of no snow.

I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and saw a lot of snow storms like that. Can't say I miss 'em though!

When I woke up this morning here in Yorba Linda, California, it was 43 degrees and I was FROZEN!!! Clearly too cold for me to go for my morning run, so I postponed it until the afternoon, then complained because it was too hot while running. Now it's 72 and sunny, and I'm thinking of putting on a sweater because I'm cold again. I've turned into such a wimp!

That looked like it hurt!

Reminds me of the snows in northern Michigan... every night you'd hear "Twelve plus inches of lake effect snow expected overnight, with another twelve plus inches tomorrow." I couldn't take it anymore!! I don't even like the snow in Ohio! We've been California dreamin for years now...
