how many of you are getting the H1N1 shot?
i'm going to get it on tuesday, i'm not taking any chances of getting it, its going around red deer where i live like crazy..
how many of you are getting it? will this sickness harm my birds? or anyone's birds?

i am not going to get it. The vaccine scares me more than the flu. I am sanitizing my hands and bleach wiping everything. So hopefully I can stay well.

My mom and dad said no way are we getting that shot! It IS a new thing and The goverment has never REALLY done it before this year. They are just trying to use us as guinea pigs!

I personally am not getting it because I still haven't gotten my flu shot yet (procrastinating), but my kids are here soon. I was leary about it at first but after talking with our awesome pediatrician we are getting it for the kids. And I believe this specific strand of flu can be transmitted to animals and that is when it becomes and even bigger problem than it already is. It morphes and changes and then the animal can give the new flu to you.

Nope. I've been told last time they came out with a 'vaccine' for swine flu that went around like 50ish years ago, the vaccine killed more people then the flu... don't know how true that is but I'm taking my chances.
After I came back from Nicaragua, half the team (10+ people) came down with swine flu. I was in the same dorms with them for 10 days and on the same flight with them... honestly after that I'm not too worried.
