OH crap now I have to wait for the other news and sit here and think about what it might be?!?!
Im so jealous that you have a sanctuary so close to your house. How I wish for one of those in my area. Its hard to have one in Michigan, an outdoor enclosure at least, only because the weather is so random here and the temps fluctuate so much. It really has to be an indoor area (one day I will have one, I swear!!). Did you take any pictures? Sounds like so much fun.

What a beautiful post.
I know of the sanctuary that you are speaking of and have also gone to visit it personally. One of my dear friends volunteers there and is an incredible addition to an already beautiful and peaceful place. I am often uncomfortable with sanctuaries as I worry that some set them up for the purpose of hoarding and do not care for the animals the way they need. The owner of this place has a heart of gold and really goes out of her way to make sure that her birds are given only the best. It is rare that we have a bird at our rescue that is in need of being placed with a sanctuary instead of a person, but when we do get them, I try to send them to the sanctuary you mentioned above. On a different note... ...Why can't you share your other news? ![]() -Anna

Emily: I am not sure if I am at liberty to discuss our "big news". All I can tell you that it is GOOD! It was a bit rocky, but I think it is back on track!
LovelySydney: You will not have to sit very long! I hope to be able to share very soon. It is lovely to have a Santuary like Gulf Coast. It is a wonderful place. If they permit, I will take pictures so that you guys can take a looksy. Anna: It is very very difficult to keep this to myself! Keeping a secret is not in my nature!!! |
