Flu Shot

I tried to get my shot today but they are out until mid November. That sucks. We are traveling to florida next week I wanted to be protected.

Is anyone else having problems getting shots?

I ended up getting mine (regular shot, not the h1n1 thing, if it's even out yet) at Safeway grocery store! LOL

I tried on base but I will go up to the VA hospital. I think they have some up there. I wasn't a priority on base. They said you have to be a baby or pregnant to get the regular flu shot right now. I am not geting the H1N1 shot. My hubby already got the mist so I don't want to get sick from him.

I can't get it until the end of the month. They only just started giving them to the priority groups today and they're estimating that will take about 3-4 weeks so all I can do is wait

Ugh, I'm having problems too. My doctor's office was out, the local places are out until mid-November, and I haven't been able to find a local CVS with any in stock. I believe it takes a couple of weeks to "kick in" and it's almost like, "why bother" at this point. But I shall keep calling...

Ya even in Ontario people are being turned away for flu and h1n1 shots if they are not on the priority list. They will be letting "regular joes" get the shots sometime in December. I am a "regular Joe" and will not be getting either of the shots since Im positive I have the h1n1 flu already go figure eh *sigh* good news is since I already have it I can't get it again but this flu sure is a pain I can't seem to get better and I passed it on to my boss and my family oh jeez eh! What a royal pain in the arse!

You can get the regular flu vaccine anywhere here in florida, walgreens, cvs, etc. The H1N1 in shot form is only being given to high risk individuals and pregnant women, everyone else has to wait, unless you want the mist. Just use alot of hand sanitizer and wash your hands.
