How to make the 'love bites' heal

So, as you can read about in my Bella Day 1 thread, last night she gave me two 'love bites'. Today they seem to have blistered up. Do you guys have any tips as to what to do to heal them up? The one on my middle finger actually is kinda painful.

Neosporin and a band-aid for a day. Is Bella back to her happy self, or is she still offering love with her beak? LOL

Not a bite all day.. but she seems to have a funny way of saying 'Hi' to new people. My parents stopped by, and she flew onto their heads. LOL

She's been really friendly, but the dog and her are still figuring each other out. The dog is pissed as I put the invisible fence indoor sensor under Bella's cage.... and Bella thinks it's fun to tease her to come near it. Bella sure is a comedian.... a sadistic one! LOL

Like Xafsmom said, Neosporin is the best. They even have a formula that has a pain reliever.

I have had the Invisible Fence brand outside fence and indoor sensors for some time for my puggle. It was a complete life saver! I have 2 acres of yard that is enclosed by the outside fence. The indoor sensors are just awesome pluses to keep the dog away from things. I use visual flags to let the dog know where her boundaries are. The dog knows that if she passes the flag, that she will be corrected.

Bella thinks it's funny.... to tempt the dog to come near..... I'm starting to think that Bella's first word will be calling the dog's name.

I have had a few nasty bites in my life, I got one nasty one in my face from my friend's cockatoo, ouch! Antibiotic ointment, a bandaid for part of the day and ibuprofen helped just fine. I did go to the doctor to get some antibiotics just in case, it was a pretty nasty bite. Luckily I was up to date on my tetanus shot so I did not need one of those. I spoke with a plastic surgeon (I had an appointment already to remove a melanoma from my arm) about what is best for scars, and he said silicone is the only proven effective scar treatment.

You can buy little silicone sheets to place on the scars, or silicone get as well. If it is not visible you can use a sheet, but if it is use a gel during the day and at home use a silicone sheet. I have found them for about $30 online. Makemeheal.com I think. I am looking for them in stores today, I will let you know what I find. I will use a silicone sheet on my arm for sure, the scar from the surgery is huge! about an 9" gash in the shape of a square missing one side, and that side goes off to the opposite side, wrapping around my entire arm. Now it looks like I have a "nipple" on the inside of arm, about 5" below my armpit. The surgeon said those silicone patches work great for stuff like that, otherwise I will need to go in and have him stitch it up differently, ouch! I mean come on, that is why I had a plastic surgeon do the surgery, so I wouldn't need another one. Now I have 2 huge scars (they also had to remove a lymph node, so I have another 8" scar in my armpit), the one in my armpit is very deep so deodorant sticks in that little crevice, it is not good. He said silicone patches will help that too! Seems to be great, so hopefully it helps a bit.

We have an Aussie Shepherd who has free range in the house and weaning room. Bella and her coterie did enjoy swooping down and grabbing his fur. LOL

Ever try liquid skin? It burns like the devil but it never gets sore, I've used that so much on bird bites. Get it where the bandaids are at Walmart.
