Job interview..

Okay.. forgot to update you guys on the job i applied for at the pet store! well, long story short, they aren't hiring until christmas time, probably after... and i want a job NOW. lol. if they call me again later, I'll see what the situation is, but I've been applying other places once i found out.

I applied at a bowling alley/ skate rink / arcade / gym/ birthday party place/ you name it. lol.. my cousin has been working there for years and she put in a good word for me. I have an interview this saturday at three. any advice?

I'm nervous!

Good luck- just tell them how much you love and care for your pets at home, and how you try to collect as much info as possible on pets.

Just be your sweet self and remember when they say tell me about yourself, they are really asking about your work ethics and skills.... if they want personal info, they will ask what your hobbies and interests are. Oh, and saying you're a workaholic or a perfectionist is not a good thing any more. Just say; you work hard, take direction well, take pride in the work you do and are always open and flexible to learning more efficient ways of doing things.

No prob, just one of the things I help teach students. Any other questions please feel free to ask.

If they ask you a question that throws you off, it is very acceptable to ask if you can think about it and come back to it.

If they ask if you want coffee or water say no thanks, your fine.

In case they have studied body language...

Sit straight, both feet on floor, not crossed at knees or ankles, with hands on lap, but not clasped hard, just relaxed and open. (means your honest)

Wear browns or greens Brown - trustworthy, green -love.

Look people in the eye, both when they are talking and when you answer.

Don't touch your nose, it means a lie...

Eye movement can tell interviewers if you are lying... practice your answers ahead of time carefully.
