Any hockey fans?

Just curious if there are any hockey fans here? I know there are a number of Canadians and North and East Coast people here.

If you couldn't tell, Im a Ducks fan. :)

We didn't get off to a great start this year ( just like last year) but it looks like things are starting to turn around.

I'm a Red Wings fan, and I am glad you guys traded Pronger - I like him better out of our conference!

Ew! Red Wings! nah, just kidding.

Pronger...man I miss him. Our defense took a nice hit over the summer, and it seems to be the weakest point...and last year it was our strong point!

O well. I guess we couldn't keep him forever.

I haven't been following the Wings, but I hear they aren't really faring much better than the Ducks. :/

I'm originally from Edmonton, plus my son and husband both play hockey. So while I'm not a die hard fan myself, I'm totally enveloped by hockey for most of the year.

The Wings are looking pretty ordinary so far this year. They've had a great run of consecutive playoffs and winning their division. They will make the playoffs this year, but may not win the division.
It's a process of working in some new young players, like Helm and Abdelkader...
Our biggest concern in goalies right now.

Goalies? What's up with Osgood? Is he in his last year? And if you guys take Hiller from us next season, I will cry.

Osgood is have a slow start again, though his last couple games were very good. They don't seem to have anyone ready to take his place if he retires at the end of the season.

He has been injured with a groin something or other. So he has been out for...a few weeks now I think. He was doing pretty well before he got injured tho, so hopefully he is back to his old Jiggy self this season. I just read on the Ducks site that he should be back next week for their road trip.
But, I wont be mad if Hiller stays in net. :D I really hope we resign him since Jiggy only has this season and next on his contract. I love Jiggy and all, but we need a guy that will be around for a few more years. Its awesome and it sucks at the same time having two starter caliber goalies. You will never hear them be referred too as #1 and #2...they are always 1A and 1B...but no one knows who is A and who is B.
