I'm so angry! I missed World Parrot Day

Graeh had posted that World Parrot Day events were being held in London. I looked at the date ( few weeks ahead) saw it was a Monday and was disappointed, because I teach a class on Monday afternoons, when the bulk of the activities would be happening. So I forgot about it. This past Monday (Memorial Day to AMericans) was also what we call a Bank Holiday over here. In other words, no classes and my husband didn't have to work!! About 5 o'clock a got an email from a friend saying it's World Parrot Day and they had loads of parrots and activities in Trafalgar Square! (LIke a 15 minute subway ride from where I live). I am so disappointed! Had I realized when I learned about it that I didn't have to work that day, I would have put it in my planner! Damn!
