Thumbs up Summertime Plans/Wishes

I have two days of school left, and they consist of finals in four classes (they started today). I leave for the bus at 6:50am, and get home around 12pm (instead of 2:30pm). So, for the summer, I hope to be able to turn in an application at a pet hospital to be a vet tech assistant, that is, if during the summer their staff is not full (as it is now). Someone suggested me to help with the upkeep/updating of a website, which would be part time with pay.

There may be a possibility that I would have to do summerschool, though as it stands, I haven't heard anything about it so I don't know. I do not have any planned vacations this summer as we have already gone to Hawaii this year, and well, due to some problems and my mother already using up all her vacation time, I don't see vacationing time this summer (which is all fine by me! I'm satisfied however to stay home with the fids!)

One thing though that would greatly interest me would be able to volunteer at a rescue (none close by, or atleast none that need volunteers... besides, I've already tried the zoo last year!). Beyond that, I'd find it quite educational if I had the chance to visit/stay at a place that cares for many birds (though may not be a rescue of any sort) so that I could get better experience with a wider range of parrots or birds for that matter! I'd love to get a more hands-on experience with caring for many birds of various types. It's just something of interest however.

LOL! Joel, your too great! And you too, Crebain! Just gotta love this place, and it aint quite BirdBoard without some of you goofs! Now that's just something that you can't deny!

I would love to go if I had the chance! First thing first, is to find out what I'm doing for the summer, if anything! If nothing was going on at all, then I'd be there in a heartbeat!

Monica, don't be too hasty. Did Joel tell you about the uniforms for his "helpers"? You should have seen what he wanted me and Nina to wear last year! :icon_eek: Or should I say "barely wear"! :icon_lol:

Joel, your references rang last night, wanted to know why you haven't paid them for the last 2 months? :icon_lol:

Want to share a room with my 13 YO daughter for the summer and help care for my flock? LOL We have six conures, a pionus, a cockatoo, three tiels, two quakers and more finches than you can count. Plus I have a really cute sixteen year old son LOL

LOL Tiki! I wouldn't be surprised!

Lyn, sounds like fun! I'd be surrounded in conures! The one bird that I have YET to figure out, even though its been over 3 years since being owned by one! I wouldn't mind taking up board with your daughter, as long as she's not a girly girl! (sorry, though them young girly girls kinda scare me... the ones that are afraid to break a nail or 'get down and dirty' [i'm sure someone will have fun with that phrase!] with their hands). Your son now? Nah, I'm not interested! I've got enough guys following me around as if I'm some treat! LMAO!

Last day of school, Monday. Exams should be relatively easy as ones open notes, the other is just describing what our big project was! Next thing to get use to, being home when the mail comes by! LOL Use to walkin home and 90% of the time, the mail has already arrived! Had enough trouble as it was with early outs and no mail!
