food dunking

I know the dunking things in water is a Myers trait. meaning that many(not all)myers will do this. but the last few days my lovebird seems to have startd doing it. Well not seems to have..has. I saw him doing it last night. Anyone else seen this in thier lovebirds?

He goes out of his way to do it as well. His food dish is on the opposite side of his cage from the water. He will pick up a piece of food. Scoot across the perch and drop it in the water bowl and pull it right back out. well mostly. there is almost always now some in the bottom which of course I then have to change the water hehe.

You might want to teach your lovebird how to drink out of a water bottle so that way he'll always have fresh water, and water to make soup out of! That is, if he doesn't stuff up the bottle first!
