How long eggs can be alive without incubation?

I got a female escaped from its cage and spent about from six to eight hours out of its nest, its eggs are in the middle of hatching time, is there any chance for the eggs to be alive ? i put her back and she back to incubation and got it warm again about how about the time which an egg can live without incubation ?

I've heard anywhere from 2-4 weeks time... so the eggs are most likely fine.... although you ought to be able to find out for sure soon enough.

I know that when eggs are first layed, they can live without incubation for upwards of a full week. In fact, some breeders pull the first laid eggs and return them when the last egg is layed. They're not incubated or warmed during that time because breeders WANT the growth to stop. In this way, all of the babies will hatch at approximately the same time.

I don't have an answer for your situation, but you'll know in the next few days if the eggs remained viable.

Lovebird chicks (in shell) are very resilient and I wouldn't doubt the chick(s) will hatch regardless. I had to bring a hen to the vet once, brought the nestbox and all and she refused to sit on the eggs until we returned home several hours later and the chicks hatched. It might take a day or two extra for them to hatch, but chances are they will.
