I'm not sure what you are referring to. The link goes to a page that states that they have a discussion group and has some of the new topics they are talking about (like the never ending battel of mutation names).

I looked at the site & thought it was pretty good - if a little dry, because they were setting the ground work for a united system that everyone would recognize, no matter your country of origin. That all mutations would be easily recognised & people could talk together.
I am not sure about the 'size' question.

Lately on the European exhibition benches the "new" Peach-faced made its appearance. It’s face is bright red and the bill almost colourless. In size they approach seventeen centimetres. Special sized rings have to be used . The classical dimension of 4.5 millimetres (inside diameter) is too small and one has to use a 5 millimetre ring instead. Incidentally: continental breeders close-ring all their birds ranging from macaws to humming birds. If you want to show it at an exhibition as an Owner Bred bird this is compulsory.

When the "new" Peach-faced was shown for the first time the usual discussions and rumours started to spread. To cite but a few: The birds were so big because they were fed some secret potion. Not true. They were given hormones. Again not true, They were crossed with the sub-species catumbella.

The truth is really simple; these Peach-faced were man-made by careful selection.

When first seen a few decades ago English exhibition budgerigars made an enormous impression on continental budgie breeders and were received with lots of enthusiasm. Now, when the same thing happens to another species of birds, the sins of the whole world are piled on the breeder who first created them. Wasn’t a story about sour grapes already written ages ago ?

Not sure exactly what they are talking about, but it might be the Longfeather peachface. I know very little about them, but you might try the two following websites as they both breed them and might have more information for you.
One is http://www.babylovebird.com and the other is http://www.angelinasnest.com/Standar...gfeathers).htm

I know Lisa ( AngelinasNest) currently has LongFeathers and she might be able to help you further with them. Again, I know very little about them, but they are certainly attractive.

Although I would never have a lovebird I simply adore them. They are the cutest little things with such spicy personalities, you could sit and watch them play all day. All my experience with them has been that they change drastically over time. Mostly the females. Start biting for no reason. The worst bite I ever got was from a lovie. He bite and held on to my finger and all I could do was wait until he decided to let go. That pain lingered for a long time...didn't draw blood, it was more of a pressure bite. My favorites are the Fischers

The only noticable defference i saw at the images is the fledglings masks which appear in a defferent color even if the fledgling just come out from its nest.

I noticed the feet were larger in the longfeather & their colouring was very intense. It was harder to see the broader body from a photo - as photos loose the 3D effect.
It's nice to see that the breeding of these birds has turned towards a more robust bird. I was surprised to see how quickly they moved from classic colours to the other mutatuions as well. I wonder if the life expectancy will be affected, as it was with the English Budgie?
All 3 links were very helpful - as was the original article.
Thanks everyone - I really enjoyed checking this new info out.

Well, i think its better to care for color mutations more than size, but its nice to have an English Lovebird like English Budgie, who knows maybe with ALLAH well, we see Lovebirds with tuft like Budgies.
Bytheway, im asking you all to share any new mutation or special color of peachfaced lovebird that you have.
