Unhappy Crazy Bird!

I have a problem Love bird at home. She is a Fishers Lovebird and i've had her for four years. She is a beautiful girl but she drives me nutz!

I am not sure if of you guys have the same problem, but here it is...
Sassy grabs the bars of her cage and "pings" them. at first i didn't mind because she didn't do it too loud. but now! she is constantly pinging her bars. it's extremely loud and she will do it for several minutes straight. she isn't doing it for attention she gets plenty of that...she has new food, clean water, and everything. i can't figure it out.

any ideas?

Oh another thing...Sassy and the other lovebird Kiwi, both throw up their food on their toys, perches and stuff. it's so gross. what is up with that?

Sassy makes the noise on the cage bar because she likes the sound of it. Plain and simple. Lovebirds like making noise. You can try hanging a toy right where she does it, but it most probably won't stop "her".

Are you sure Sassy is a hen? Primarily male lovebirds are the ones that regurgitate to their chosen "mate". It's normal hormonal behavior and the best you can do is just keep everything clean.

My Quaker Mojo pings his cage bars when we want to sleep and he wants to play, on the weekend.

Sassy laid eggs once...or so i was told. a friend of mine owned her before i did. they said that she was female. she is in a cage by herself, mostly because she is very aggressive. she was raised in a class room full of kindergarteners...she got so unruly that they gave her to me. she has settled down a lot but is still sorta crazy.

i've tried putting toys in the way, but she will make noise on any bar she can get a hold of. she has broken about four diffrent bars already. the little doors on her cage are even tied down because she would pick them up and drop them all the time. i was told that her and her cage mate in the pet store would let each other out of their cage by picking up the little doors.
