Question Might be Adopting a Lovebird

I might be adopting a 2 year old lovebird. I have been thinking about getting a lovebird for a while now. the bird comes with it's cage, toys, food... from my understanding it is very tame. I might go this weekend to get it if things work out.
I have a green cheeked conure at the moment so I do know birds and how to take care of them- but every breed of bird has different traits and ect.

I was wondering if there were any suggestions that anyone had for me..or what I should look for when I go to pick the bird up.

how about i set up to get this sweet lovebird and then the moment i line up all the plans.. the foster bird people contacts me sounds like I will have a whole bunch of birds here...
One I am buying (picking up monday night)
2 pairs of lovebirds, one is on 4 eggs and the other one has 5 babies.... I pretty much have homes lined up for all the baby birds when they are old enough and I think it will feel a bird crazy at first but it will be a fun experiance. I have a huge house so my gcc, my new lovebird and the ones I will be fostering will all be in different areas.

Thats fantastic!!! keep an eye on your large and small birds if they're out at the same time, lovebirds are afraid of nothing, and your big bird might be the victim, or viceversa (sp?). my conure and loves, get along well now, but when they first met, they snapped at each other.

make sure and handle those babies, so they will be as tame as the 2 year old.

congradulations you're very lucky.
