How many lovebirds should I get? 2 or 4?

Hello, I'm a new prospective lovebird owner and I'm trying to figure out if I should get 2 or 4 birds. I always had birds, just no lovebirds or parrot breeds. I'm working and going to college, so I want to get at least 2, even though I do let them out of their cage and spend time with them to keep them tame. I have a pretty big cage (56x16x30) that could easily house more that that. I like the idea of getting 4, I was just wondering if they would make a lot more noise than 2? Or if it would be a lot harder to keep them tame? If so, should I let all of them out of their cage at once, or maybe one at a time to spend time with each one? They would be 3 peachfaces (orangeface, whiteface slate, and green violet) and one blue mask. Gender would be 2 males, 1 female, and one unknown. I would have them as pets, but if 2 would decide to pair up and breed, I might consider offering them breending materials as well. Is there anything I didn't consider that could help me decide whether to get 2 or 4? If I were to get two, it would be the orangeface and the blue mask. Thanks.

peach faced you mean? i would get 1 if you want a pet. two otherwise. i had 2 in a cage at one time but they were breeders. atm, i have one lovie in a cage by herself. she is far from tame but she's fine by herself.

With peachface lovebirds in particular, either have 1 pair or 3, not 2 in a large cage. Peachface lovebirds can be super aggressive and if there is not enough space, someone is going to get hurt.

If you are looking for tame birds or keeping them somewhat tame, I'd suggest just getting one pair.

If someone has mixed species of lovebirds, I'd either go with two of the same sex (if not the same species), or go with two of the SAME species, and either male/male or male/female.
