i NEED HELP ... MY LOVEBiRD LAYED AN EGG

HEY, MY LOVEBiRDS LAYED AN EGG ...
i PURCHASED 2 LOVEBiRDS ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO
ONE WAS A BOY AND ONE WAS A GiRL
i WAS TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY HAD BABiES 3 TiMES BUT THE LAST TiME THE FEMALE LAYED EGGS THE MALE ATE THEM SO ... THEY TOLD ME TO GET THE MALE OUT OF THE CAGE AND PUT HIM IN A DiFFERENT ONE AS SOON AS i NOTiCE THAT THE GiRL LAYED EGGS SO HE DOESN'T DO iT AGAiN....
WELL SHE LAYED AN EGG 3 DAYS AGO AND THE MALE BiRD HASN'T REALLY TOUCHED iT ... i DON'T KNOW HOW TRUE iT iS BUT DO YOU THiNK i SHOULD LEAVE THE GUY iN THERE OR TAKE HiM OUT....ALSO CAN i REMOVE THE EGG OR DO i NEED TO LEAVE iT iN THERE? iM NEW TO ALL OF THiS SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT...OH
AND HOW DO i TELL iF THE EGG iS FERTiLE DO i JUST WAIT UNTiL iT HATCHES TO FiND OUT OR iS THERE A WAY i CAN TELL?

They need to finish laying. AND how did she know it was the male who ate them - both parents can be responsible. i personally would leave them be and see how it goes. Ive had birds eat the eggs and be fine later. I would NOT disturb them as much as possible, that is what often causes disorder. I have pairs do fine until once they get disturbed too often then they will get to scrambling or destroting eggs. If they did fine before I would leave them be and keep people away and dont peek in the box too often. Are you planning to handfeed??
