Changed Lovebird Smell?

I'm not a newbie to lovebirds- I've owned and worked with them for years, but I've never had this happen before!

My lovebird, a seagreen violet peach faced hen, usually has that faint lovebird smell. Every lovebird I've ever worked with has had pretty much the same smell- kind of sweet and musky.

Yesterday, Sweetheart and I were having our before-bedtime cuddles, and I notice her smell had changed! She now smells very strongly like cinnamon. I'm not worried- since that's the only thing to have changed- and I have been feeding her birdy bread with a bit of cinnamon with it, but she's had cinnamon before and I've never noticed a change.
I'm not complaining, because she now smells even better then she did before, but it was a bit startling! She still smells like cinnamon tonight.

Has anyone had something like this happen?

nope...but I've never given them cinnamon so i can't say!
Kind of nice, as long as it's all healthy, I guess.
The only thing I noticed with my lovebirds was a lot of orange poop when they got carrots...and, I discovered, orange poop STAINS!!
By the way....don't you just LOVE the smell of birds~!

I love how each species has their own smell. I'm a confirmed "bird sniffer"! The only birds that don't smell very good (to me, at least) are raptors and corvids. I've worked with both, and... well, I don't find their scents very pleasant.

When I had my Siberian Husky, oh so many wonderful years ago, I used to LOVE to bury my face in her fur. She'd never smell of DOG, if you get that. She always smelled of the outside...and especially wonderful in the Autumn when she'd kind of have that burning leaves smell. Ah...irreplaceable memories.
