Acclimating a New Lovie

I just adopted a lovebird yesterday who I'm fondly calling Lola, shes a beautiful peachfaced about 4 months old. I dont think she was handled very much because whenever I get close to her she tries nipping at me. She seems very scared but since last night has sat on me and nibbled at my sweater. My question is, how can I acclimate her as to the point where she'll let me pick her up and want to be picked up? Thanks :)

awww, she is probly just scared. My lovebird was tame and handled allot before I got him. When i got him home he was terrified and he bit me and my husband ALLOT and HARD. I thought he was a wild thing! Now he is just the sweetest thing. He had to learn to trust us and that we were never going to hurt him. Now I even let him preen my eyelashes. I trust that he would never bite me in a million years. Just give it some time and she will come around.
