Itchy??

My Lovie appears to be terribly itchy, she seems to be always itching herself. Is there anything I can do to help her??

If you are concerned, then it's best to take your lovie to an avian vet.

I am trying to acclimate her to everything and didnt want to push the bath issue too much. Last one she got was Tues night and she didnt do very well. She pretty much flipped out and so I kept it quick. It hasnt been very warm here so I dont want to get her cold and then have her come down with something.

You might want to try misting her with hot water and some aloe juice. ( not aloe gel, the juice....you can buy it at a health food store--also make sure the water is HOT so by the time it gets up the pump,it is warm.)Aloe is very soothing and a great itch reliever... Mist over the bird and not directly at her...like a light shower. With time, she should love it....my guys go nuts over their misting and want to be sprayed directly.
All birds scratch, but if it seems excessive, you might want to make sure you aren't dealing with anything else...like mites(although those aren't really that easy to get.)
