how often does she get a shower/bath?

You might want to try misting her with hot water and some aloe juice. ( not aloe gel, the juice....you can buy it at a health food store--also make sure the water is HOT so by the time it gets up the pump,it is warm.)Aloe is very soothing and a great itch reliever... Mist over the bird and not directly at her...like a light shower. With time, she should love it....my guys go nuts over their misting and want to be sprayed directly.
All birds scratch, but if it seems excessive, you might want to make sure you aren't dealing with anything else...like mites(although those aren't really that easy to get.) |
