Standing still??...Impossible!

I took pictures of my birds today. Although it went well with two of them (Joey and Shade), Piper and Petey were less cooperative.

Piper wouldn't stay on any of the play gyms, she would constantly run back and fly to me. Getting shots of her proved to be rather difficult (as it usually is).

She had one "down" time..."down" time meaning she wasn't moving towards anywhere. But....



...she still yawned and scratched herself simultaneously.

There is no standing still for her unless she's on someone and even then....

Hahahahaha!! That's a great picture!! It looks like a "karate chop" pose!! Hehehehe. What mutation is Piper? Whitefaced Blue, split to anything? The coloring in the photo is such a gorgeous jewel turquoise that I don't see often in a lovebird!!

Great shot! Don't be hard on Piper, all lovebirds (that I have met anyways) love to be active! They are always on the go except for eating, sleeping and getting head scratches (sometimes)!

Oh I know how active Lovebirds can be. Before I moved out and was still at my parents, Piper got to "play" with my mom's two lovebirds and they were crazy together :)

Nah..it's just that sometimes I'd like to take pictures of her that actually are more than a blur of blue ;)
