mika and kano's february 2009 photo thread!! ^_^
I wanted to take Valentine's Day pictures of them but I was sick all last week (and still a little sick) so that was a bummer.

Today we went up to Tantalus (a scenic point) since it's right up the road from my place. I hadn't been there in yeeeeeears... it was absolutely gorgeous. All the foliage and such variety!! There were so many "backgrounds" I wanted to use but most of them were right alongside the road so I obviously wasn't going to take the babies out to take photos at those places. So we went to a couple of dead end streets and the scenic park to do our little photo shoot. Hehe. :D Maybe next time we'll venture to more dead end streets or vacant areas to see if there are any beautiful backdrops.





































And the signature I'll start using next month for St. Patrick's Day:

This is what I did in school today after the kids went home. I wanted to check out this cool Dot Art one of the kids did!! Neat-o!!



Mommy borrowed The Parrot Tico Tango just for us.

Those are really beautiful lovebirds. I just got my lovebird a few days ago who is clipped and wondering if it would be safe to take her outside when the weather is nice for fresh air.

If you are going to take her out then I would suggest a travel cage. You could also try to get her used to a harness. Lovebirds are very strong flyers and can still fly some even with their wings clipped. If she became scared and tried to fly she could get away from you using a breeze. I know that there are people who disagree with me. I respect their opinions, but I prefer to be safe rather than sorry.
