Yes I have seen them. They are violet factor peachfaced lovebirds. Also, no they are not rare.

I have three lovebird chicks with a Violet factor dad that I am hand feeding right now.

Yup, Whitefaced Violets. Although not "rare," depending on the area you live in it could be uncommon. It just all depends on what mutations are readily bred by breeders in your area.

I used to have a couple of these about 10 years ago. My favorite of the Violets is the Single Dark Factor Double Factor Violets. Sooooooooo pretty!!
