Question 2 Babies 7 weeks introduced to a 8 month

I have received 2 baby blue masks that are 7 weeks. We have had a 8 month peach face for about 3 months. We would like to house them in the same cage but our peach face seems to be picking on the little guys by nipping at their toes. The babies let out a cry every time. But they aren't scared of him, they seem to go back to him for more every time. No blood at all the babies are fine but are being herded around by the older bird. Is there a different approach that we should be taking or should we continue what we are doing and let the lovebirds solve their problems on their own?

We have already house them seperatly and had the cages side by side so they do get used to each other.

Peachface lovebirds tend to be more aggressive than black masked lovebirds. I would keep them in seperate cages. By the way, why do you want to house them together? Female lovebirds become very cage aggressive. Three in one cage would probably never work.

I agree with Matt.

Housing them separately will be the best option for you. They'll still keep each other company in side-by-side cages. With so much toe nipping, even without blood, it's pretty unsafe for the babies to be in the same cage with the PF. The PF just may get truly upset one day and kill the babies.

P.S. Where are your pictures?? I don't see any!!

agreeing with above.....PF's and masked probably shouldn't be housed together. I know my PF's are much more aggressive than my fischer or my masked....might work in an aviary situation with more room to fly and therefore, to get away...but babies really don't know how to fight back yet and just want to make friends with everyone and shouldn't be housed with adults.
not a good idea to put them together.....

Sometimes it is not a good idea

If you noticed that there is some difficulties then kindly do not place the babies or baby back in with the others. I have heard this story time and time again and opps one of the love birds wounds up dead! Please place in a seperate cage.
