I so wish i could find a lovie that has Pixel's coloring!!! I can't never find them in my area tho. What is the name for their mutation????

Was he handfed? $80 would be really really cheap around here. Lovies go for $250-300 here, handfed or not.

300 for a lovebird ? WOW! I think the mostr expensive one i've seen around here was like 100$, and that was in a pet store, so overpriced! Here they're usually around 50 to 60 dollars.

I got my Peachy for $125 and Raz was $175! And i can't find them any cheaper then that around here!

I have seen some lovebirds selling for a really expensive amount. The breeders will say they are an exceptional mutation or good breeding stock, I usually see those prices coming from breeders, sometimes show breeders.

Handfed budgies sell for about $100 around here, 50 for parent raised. Handfed tiels are about $220. I actually think that's a good thing, there market isn't overflowing with birds noone wants and they're too expensive for kids to take their allowance and buy a pretty birdie. What I hate about the pricing here is how much cages cost. Pixel has a way too small a cage and I'm trying to save up for a bigger cage which isn't all that easy at this point.
And sadly people seem to go for the cheapest cage they can find.
Saw this family walking out of the petstore the other day with food and a small cardboard box containing their new familymember and the smallest cage I've ever seen. I checked inside how much that cage was and it was $120. I feel bad for the poor bird that has to spend his days in that cage
