Any breeders around Connecticut?

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this, but the classifieds seemed kinda dead.

Well, I'm looking to get a lovebird for sure in about 2 months when my money should be ok and my conure hopefully better.

But I can't find any breeders besides a local pet store that sells lovebirds. If theres any breeders on this forum near Connecticut please drop me a message. I'm sure I'd have to travel a bit, but that shouldn't be a problem if I really like a bird.

I could also trade out design work as well or shirts. So if anyone could help me out, that would be great and I would really appreciate it.

The lovebird I'd really love to find is one like Mika. I just love that bird lol!

You could check BirdBreeders at: BirdBreeders.com - Bird Breeders Directory of Availability and Parrot Breeders . It is a site of breeders from across the country. The mutation that you are looking for is hard to find around here, or at least it used to be. You should be able to find quite a few breeders. If none of them breed that mutation then they might be able to put you in touch with a breeder who does. Good luck!

Thanks, yeah I've found a couple, but no luck so far. Think its gonna be very hard to find one that I'm looking for ,but I'm gonna keep trying. Seafoam colored one would be nice too.

Seafoam? Do you mean the seagreen mutation? VERY pretty :)

In addition to birdbreeders.com, you can try hoobly.com, kijiji.com and upatsix.com. You might also want to check out the ALBS website; there aren't any current classified listings but they do have a breeder listing: Links African Love Bird Society

There are quite a few lovebird lists on Yahoo. One of the most active is the LB_List: LB_List : Lovebird List There are a lot of helpful people there...

If you're looking for particular colors, you might want to see if there are any ALBS-sanctioned bird shows in or around your area.

Best of luck!

Thanks I'll check out all those sites. I found 2 breeders, going to see if they are going to be having any birds I like within the next 2-3 months. Can't wait :)

If your money situation is going to improve so much in the next few months, surely a vet would understand and help you with your conure asap before he passes away. From the 911 pictures you posted in counures, he looks like such a beauty. I would invest my money to save him rather that buy a new bird.
Just a thought.....
