My new flock member is very skittish and doesn't like to be messed with.... He seems to be adjusting to the new surroundings a little bit, as he doesn't run to the back of the cage immediately when you approach him and stuff anymore... But I dunno how well he'll tame down, I know it takes time, but I just wonder if he is just going to retain a wild streak or what....
Which brings me to a question.... If after time he doesn't calm down would it be better to just get him (it) a buddy to live with, and let them bond to each other for companionship? Would an untamed pair be alright just staying in their cage and enjoying each other (not needing out of cage play time) or what?

congrats on your new lovie! I would give this little a guy to come around and bond to you before you get another. And even if you do end up getting another lovie to be his friend, doesn't mean you will be able to cage them together. Lovebirds are pretty territorial and it's not as easy to just dump a new cage mate in there with them and expect them to get along. Though, at the same time it may work because he is still a baby.
But anyways, thanks for posting some pics. He's adorable.
