They don't always result in sterile offspring. Peachfaced x Masked/Fischer's = sterile. Masked x Fischer's = not sterile. But they should never be mixed regardless. Breeders who allow this to happen are irresponsible, not only because it dilutes the gene pool as mentioned before but the offspring can have behavioral problems. One of the biggest ones is when they get a little older and start to nest. Hybrids often get confused because PF, Masked, and Fischer's all nest differently - so having a combo of that makes the little one confused and behavioral problems can arise.

Now, I understand sometimes hybrids "just happen." People unknowingly put their Eyering and PF together and then they have babies. And of course the existing hybrids need just as much love - but hybridizing should NOT be encouraged. I've seen them being sold as a "new mutation" in pet stores - what bunk!!

I see, i see. Ok, then better not try this. But i could put fischers, peached-faced and masked in the same FLIGHT cage, right?

I'm not sure about the Eyering species, but I have heard that they are more "laid back" than the Peachfaces. So I'm not sure I'd put them in the same cage because you wouldn't want them fighting.

You also don't want them to have the chance of the different species bonding and mating, because that can happen whether you provide them with a nestbox or not. If you had all males, it might be a different story.
