Clipping Wings

So my lovebird is a bit over 6 weeks old and seeing as its sooo nice outside I really want to bring her outside. But I'm not sure about getting her wings clippped. She loves to fly around the house and rooms and I feel really bad to get her wings clipped. She doesnt like the flightsuit either.

Is she goign to get depressed or angry if her wings are cut?? Cause Im thinking it might be really nice to bring her outside with me and for walks. Then once the summer is over I can let her wings grow again to fly around the house, etc.

I wouldn't bring a clipped bird outside unrestrained either. Smaller birds especially are still strong fliers even with clipped wings, and you could easily loose her. Leave her fully flighted and use a travel cage/carrier for trips outside. That's what I do with my guys ... we often go on picnics with them inside their travel cages.

Beware like she said of taking an unrestrained bird outside. Those lovies can get gone. I don't plan on clipping any more here and am hoping that it can stay that way but my new baby will be trained to a flight suit.

well i got the flightsuit from birddiaper.com , but like I said, she HATES it! She makes sounds like shes scared to death of the suit and I can't get her to stay still. I was goign to maybe try the Aviator suit, but I'm guessing the same thing may happen.

This sucks cause I really don't want to bring her in a cage outside since she really wants to be around people than be in a cage.
