Are my Lovies sick?

Hi guys, My lovebirds have been fluffing themselves up on their perch all the time, and my older lovebird (Sol), has been losing neck feathers, This might have been caused by the top of the cage, It has like, a little curve, making a perfect hide out for them. They liked to chew on the hook tat was up there, And it's possible the Sol's feathers got caught on the sorta spiky Metal Bits sticking out, but I'm not sure, please help!

I'd take them to an avian vet just to be safe. I know lovies are small (like budgies or tiels) so often they don't get taken to the vet but your birds do sound sick if they are losing feathers and fluffed up and if you can afford it it's better to be safe than sorry. Birds will hide illness well and by the time they show symptoms like fluffing up that we can see they generally are sick. Good luck with them and hope they come out ok! Also if you have a cage that has anything poking out that can be a danger move them!

I would:

1. Go see an Avian vet or a vet that often sees birds.

2. Get a new cage that doesn't have any metal sticking out. It's also not good that the lovebirds are chewing on metal.

Keep up posted!!
