Does my bird not care about me?

If some of you read my other post my bird started changing on me recently. Before when I had her in a small cage she ALWAYS wanted to come out to hang out with me and everyone else. I got ehr a big cage, and now she really never wants to come out , and she could fly as well, so usually when I do have her out, shes always at the windows of my house.

And now, I got her wings clipped so I could bring her outside, and now she never wants to come out the cage unless its time to eat. She's not chirpy anymore and she rubs her beak on her perch alot.

She doesn't bite me or anything like that, but shes got the attitude, like..meh..ehh I don't want to hang out with you.bye. I have to grab her, wich I hate doing cause I feel bad doing that, but once shes out the cage she stays on me when I bring her outside and seems to just sit back and watch everything.

Did clipping her wings like take away some of her zest? Maybe shes a bit sad cause shes not as mobile anymore?

Sometimes, lovebirds can go thru a mourning period when getting their wings clipped after being able to fly for awhile.

Having a big cage and a lovie that knows how to entertain themselves isn't a bad thing. Believe me! ;o)

How old is your lovie? Lovies go through stages and it sounds as if right now your lovie is going thru her independent stage. It won't last.

I don't like grabbing birds, I like having the bird come out on its own. Have a treat in your hand and entice her to come out. If she doesn't want to, don't force it, just try again later. Keep trying, keep enticing, but most importantly, be patient! :o)

I have the opposite problem. None of my birds want to be in their cages!!
