oh noes! ice coffe super bad??

So yesterday I had my ice coffee in a cup outside, and Kiwi was on the chair, I went inside to get a napkin and when I came back outside she was on the cup chowin down on the iced coffee.

Really cute, but is that really harmful? I'm sure it is cause of the sugar. I took her away, but boy did she want more. I kinda washed off her mouth too after, but she seems fine.

Just wanted to double check though.

Not sugar, caffeine. It is TOXIC to birds. Just like chocolate which contains theobromine, another stimulant.

They can have a heart attack from coffee. Just keep an eye on him today.

The only reason I know this is because Pepper's previous Mom used to let him take sips of coffee. The Avian Vet was amazed he was still alive, albeit he was very underweight and had a vitamin deficiency.

holy crap, guess so far I must of just caught her in time or something before she ate too much.

She's still acting the same, poops are normal, and no strange behavior at all. But I'll keep a look on her.
