Afraid?

I noticed that: when i am going close to the lovebird's cage, they both get into their nest and hide. If i stay here for some time, eventually ONE of the them, is getting out and sit on the nest's perch. Then it eventually fly to the bowl of seeds and so on, but when i do a sudden move, he immidiately get in the nest. The one that remains in the nest, it's the same one each time. I don't know what's happening. I have them for about 3 months i think and they continue do that habit. The one is really shy. Is that a problem? When i see them while hiding, i can see them both chiring and fly around. They hate me or what? I must tell that when i brought them, i was working on the cage for some upgrades. Maybe they are scared of that? What will make them "like" me again? Thanks

Are you breeding them or are they pets? If you are breeding them then this is normal behavior. If you are not trying to breed them and they are pets then removing the nest box will help.

I feel so but so happy right now. I just take a look in the lovebirds' nest. DUDE!!! I found 4 eggs!!! That's awesome. That's why the one was inside the nest all the time.!!!!

Congratulations on the eggs! Good parents do not leave the eggs alone so that is a good sign. Best of luck!

That's normal. I guess the one that always in the nest is female.
