Question So they try again...

So as we know last month my lovies had babies but somehow they vanished after being alive for 2 days...so now they have laid 5 eggs again and they are due to hatch sometime next week...i'd say between tuesday and thrusday...im hoping that this time it works out but i wanted to know if there was anything i could do to help them along with the process after the babies hatch?? when or do i step in if they seem like they arent feeding them??? How long do i need to wait?? I want to help these babies along this time and i want them to interact with me more then the parents do now. As some of you know the parents dont like to be touched or even bothered now that they have eggs in the nest...even before they had eggs they didnt much like to be interacted with at all...so now that they are having babies i want them to be more tame...so if anyone has any suggestions on how or when to step in with these babies so they survive this time please let me know! THANKS AHEAD OF TIME...and i will keep everyone updated if and when these babies hatch!

An aquaintance used to have a male that would eat them. She had to take him out as soon as the eggs were laid. ????

When the babies hatch, give additional bread and corn for them.

normally you wouldn't feed birds white bread... usually whole grain or something without a lot of salts and things...

not usually canned corn either for the high salt... go with fresh if they like it...

not sure what else to do about the babies... someone with more experience will be along to help more :)

Good luck!
