first of all, you should NEVER only clip only one wing. its dangerous.

Any other advice? give him time to get used to his new home.

Has your camera been fixed?

From what I read it is hard to tame a non-hand fed lovebird. But as with any animal you need to start with trust and little steps, such as step up. Why would you get rid of one bird to get another?

ETA- ah, forget it. Don't feed the green bridge-dwelling creatures.

Why is only one wing clipped? I think thats the most important thing. Second, lovebirds are very hardy birds and once they are "wild" i.e. not hand tame, it can be very difficult to tame them down. It takes a lot of patience and sometimes months, even years, of day to day interaction. The whole process is very slow because you MUST move at the birds pace, otherwise no trust is built.

how long have you had the bird? sometimes it needs a little bit of time for the bird to settle in... i agree with previous comments- half sided wing clips are not recommended, they're simply dangerous.

it all comes down to patience - and the history of the bird. for example nino - i'm tempted of calling the fact that he now lands on my hand and takes treats as "tame" when one compares it to how he used to be... many factors play a role- if you can fill us in a little more, we might be able to help with more detailed suggestions
