Is it under a perch? Sometimes my guys sit on the edge of their bowls and poop in them.

Some birds do dunk their food in water but usually they will bring that food over to the water and do it there, not go dunk the food than bring it back to the food dish. Interesting.

Does she bathe in her water dish, and splash water into the food dish? Cookie does that - I had to move the food dish to one side of the cage, and the water to the other

We have one Too her, Vester who will take a little mug off a toy and drink out of it and at times will dump the water into his food rather than mess up his water LOL! If no little cup is available he will use wood, anything at hand to accomplish this LOL!

Thats the weird thing: the only possible way she could do it, is by bringing tiny beakfuls of water, highly exhausting I'm sure, or by pooping in it. On the pooping thing, there is not a perch directly over or next to the food. So she would have to litterally poopie right in the dish. But she is odd, and has always chosen to poopie in one spot of her cage. Has never been food before, but maybe she changed her mind. But I just saw a bitty poopie in the food. But there was actually water at the bottom of the dish, standing water, and seed soaked through. There is no way to splash the water up there, her tubbie is on the floor of the cage, opposite the food dish. There are a number of kiddos runnin around here, but Eva is the last cage they would mess with. I suppose I will have to sit there all day and watch, while her beady little eyes are watching me, wondering what the hell I am doing, I should be serving her or something. I am Eva's slave, after all. Anyways, I gave her fresh seed ( she WILL NOT! REFUSES! FORBIDS! PROHIBITS! eating anything else) in the morning, 6 hours later it is soaked. Guess I'll check the ceiling for leaks while I'm at it.
