Whenever one bird attacks another, or the two fight, they need to be separated to prevent injuries. It's much kinder to do that than to leave them in the same cage together.

You can separate but have the cages right next to each other. That should be sufficient. When they have supervised out of cage time then they can have their time together. Keep them together and chances you'll be posting that one has killed the other.
In the mean time keep an eye on that wound.
