LoveBird Family

Could I keep my family of love birds together? there is mom dad and 3 babies or will there be eventual problems? The LB right now seem very happy together tho the babies are only at 2 months. They are eating on their own. or should I place the 3 away from the parents could the 3 live together? how can I avoid new babies? I know what happened the 1st time and have fixed it.

Have the been together since the babies were born? Are you planning on selling the babies or keeping them? If you are going to keep them then you can keep tham all together, although you might need a bigger cage. If you are going to sell them then pulling them maybe in a few weeks to start taming would be a good idea, but make sure they are eating on their own first. With a bonded pair there is really no way to PREVENT them from mating, although you could separate them but I DO NOT recommend that as it could literally break the birds hearts. If you see eggs just do either the shaking method or the boiling method and then put the eggs back until the female gets bored and stops sitting on them (if she never stops sitting just removed them after roughly 3 weeks).
