It has nothing to do with the cage, it has everything to do with the birds and if the eggs are fertile or not. There is really nothing you can do. The two birds need to do all the work. Sometimes they just lay eggs that dont produce offspring, it happens.

...or they could be on a bad diet and not getting the required nutrition. The humidity could be wrong, making development or hatching a problem...as could temperatures.
I always wait >30 days after the last egg was laid before removing the eggs. Don't remove them earlier as they can be good supports for the chick(s) still in the nest. You can then crack them open and take a look inside. If they are a young and/or first time couple, which they probably are due to the number of eggs laid, then it's normal to have a round of duds to begin with. What are you feeding your birds? How old are they? Have they bred before? |

Thanks for the explaination.
I have some pairs Love birds. They are more than 1 year old. It is the first time they laid eggs for two pairs and second for the others. I have 4 pairs that had laid eggs but only one egg hatched each. When I cracked the eggs that did not hatch, they were looked as new egg in side ( like just laid ). So I think there are no fertilization ( no sperm of male inside egg ). I feed them with milet, young corn and and veggies. May be you have experience what 's wrong with them. I mean is it about nutrition ? or anayhthing else. Thanks |

Young, inexperienced birds more than likely. Maybe over-bred, rest them for 12 months before letting them nest again. Try adding a much larger variety of seed rather than just millet. Make sure they have a good variety of strong, stable perches to mate on.
