Sleeping Question...

My two lovies us to sleep together all the time. Now I notice that they stay separated but are together in the morning. Is this normal and comes with age? Any input.

Sleeping, like humans, revolves around comfort and security. My bf & I may START cuddling when we go to bed but we end up at opposite ends by morning, LOL. Your birds probably just have different levels of comfort when they are sleeping, enjoy different perches or feel safer in another part of the cage. Nothing to worry about - completely normal.

I wish I could stay cuddled, lol. I need my space but WANT to cuddle. LOL. I have seen pairs that were not totally bonded (as in male male and female female pairs). Have you had your birds DNA done yet? I have a pair of Bourkes who do this and I only got one DNA'd because I trusted the breeders opinion on the other but now Im suspicious. On the other hand I have a fully bonded mating pair of splendids that sleep totally independant on each other???????
