Lilly a Ruby macaw by (WingedVictory)

Lilly a Ruby macaw which is a cross between a scarlet and Greenwing.

She is gorgeous! How do you tell the difference between a Ruby and Greenwing? They look similar to me.

They look the same to me as well...She seems to have fewer/lighter facial feathers... Beautiful baby!

When you see a GW and Ruby side by side, you notice the smaller head and beak. The Ruby facial pathes are not as pronounced as a Greenwing.

Now I see, Gary. Especially the size of the head. The size of the beak doesn't look as big either, taking into consideration the body size.
