Newest addition

Well at 10pm, "baby" aka Kiana showed up from VA. Her poor foot is bent from a break when she was young. Vet is the the next stop to se if anything can be done or if it has been too long as it happened 6 years ago. Kiana is starting to calm down and talk some, still kinda freaked out. Posted pix in photos.

Well our vet stated that we could try and "fix" his leg, but that it may make things worse or may not work at all. Add to that a pretty high bill. He came with the name Baby and we named "her" Kiana, now find out she is really a he...LOL!!! So his name is now Ozzy. He is way over protective of me, even to the point of trying to bite my other hand that he isn't on, like it is someone elses.

Talk about bad time of the year to get a male B&G....

Tammy:

Did the vet surgically sex the bird? Or are you just guessing the sex? I didn't think you'd run a DNA on him/her yet.

Nancy, pretty much a guess, plus I called the previous owners and they thought so too. I may have him/her sexed eventually, but my gut instinct is he is male...LOL!!!!!

He seems to like the Ozzy better than Kiana, he bobs his head and moves his mouth like he is trying it out. Looks pretty funny. I took your advise and haven't picked him up today, just talked to him, while sitting near the cage. It seems to be driving him bonkers, he wants to step-up sooo bad.

Duhhhh, I just realized that their vet has a blood sample, I wonder if they can do a DNA on it????
